Setting Up API Keys for Trading Bot on Binance

TradeSanta is a user friendly platform that automates simple cryptocurrency trading strategies and currently supports the most used crypto exchanges.
TradeSanta platform is easy enough even for beginner traders. We will show you how to set up a TradeSanta crypto trading bot for Binance exchange. Our guide will help you configure your first trading bot in just a few minutes!

Let’s get it started.

Step 1. Register your TradeSanta account.

Step 2. Connect your cryptocurrency exchange.
To start trading, you need to set up an Access Point. In order to do that you will need to have your Binance API keys. Go to the exchange and open the account menu at the top right of the screen. In the right-upper corner, in your account settings, find API Management page.

Create a new API key Click Create API, choose HMAC, enter a name of your new API connection, slide the puzzle, and confirm the codes that will be sent to your email/mobile phone.

Step 3. Set permissions in your new API key

Click Edit restrictions next to your new API key and set the following permissions:
Enable Reading: on
Enable Spot & Margin Trading: on
IP address restrictions: Unrestricted (Less Secure)

Step 4. Insert the API and API secret into the Access Point fields on TradeSanta.

IMPORTANT: After your API key is connected to our access point, we will provide you with the list of IPs that you can insert in the IP address restrictions field and make your connection even more secured

(!) When creating API keys for any crypto exchange, make sure to not enable the withdrawal option.

After you insert the API key and API secret key into the Access Point fields, there is still one more step needed to complete the procedure.

To avoid your API key deactivation by Binance after expiration period is over, follow the instructions below

Copy your unique IP list for the access point
Go to Access Points Page on your TradeSanta account, then click on Binance, Binance Futures or Binance US access point, navigate to IP List, click on it, copy the IP list from the information window

Paste the IP list in your API key in Binance Go to API Management in your Binance account, click on Edit restrictions next to the API key and paste the IP list to Restrict access to trusted IPs only (Recommended) field and confirm.

Congratulations! Your API key is set with the IP list and secured even more now!

If you want to test whether you have entered all the information correctly, simply click ‘Refresh data’ and ‘Request data’. If the crypto exchange responded with your correct balance, you have successfully completed the access point settings and you’re ready to create your first TradeSanta bot.

IMPORTANT: It is crucial that you store your Secret Key securely as it will only be displayed once during the API key creation process and will be hidden thereafter. Please note that you should never share your access details with anyone. In the unfortunate event that you forget your Secret Key, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to assist you with the resetting process. Your only solution would be to delete the API and create a new one.
